Apple Pie Smoothie!

For a quick yummy boost, Blair Longeran of The Seasoned Mom has created a healthy apple smoothie recipe. Tastes like a sweet and creamy milkshake, and contains generous servings of fruit, protein, calcium and other nutrients. Cinnamon and nutmeg give it a seasonal flavor and scent, while graham crackers offer some crunch. Suddenly, you have a fun alternative to whip up when that sweet tooth is knocking at your door.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 apple, diced into small pieces and frozen in advance
  • 1 5.3 oz. container Silk® Vanilla Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative
  • 1/2 cup Silk® Vanilla Soy Milk, Silk® Cashew Milk, or Silk® Almond Milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla-flavored protein powder
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 Horizon® Snack Grahams, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except Snack Graham crumbs in a blender and mix until smooth, thick, and creamy.
  2. Garnish with whipped cream and Snack Graham crumbs and serve immediately!
